The whole business model, on one page.
There are three things you can do here and two of them are optional. The site itself is free and stays free — nothing is behind a wall, and there is no plan to put anything behind one.
The letter
FreeOne email a month, usually on a Sunday. What we cooked, what broke, where we drove, and the bits that never made it into a proper entry.
- Every entry on the site, always free and never gated
- No sponsors in it, because there are no sponsors
- Unsubscribe in one tap; I don’t send a “sorry to see you go” email
The paid one
£3 a monthExactly the same letter. You are paying for the hosting and the domain, and for the fact that neither has to be justified by advertising.
- Nothing extra is unlocked — there is nothing behind it
- A note in the yearbook if you’d like your name in it
- Cancel whenever; nobody will email you about it
The yearbook
Once a yearA printed collection of the year’s entries, made mostly because I wanted one for our own shelf. Priced at what it costs to print and post.
- About 90 pages, stitched, with the photos printed properly
- Sold once, in November, and then not mentioned again
- Optional in every sense

Put your address in and that’s it done.
The paid subscription and the yearbook are not wired up yet — when they are, they will appear here and nowhere else. No pop-ups, no banner that follows you down the page. Why we do it this way. Questions: anna@thefamilynotes.com.
